Christa Thompson: “Does the Shoe Fit?”
Almost everyone will have more than one career in their lifetime. One instrumental indicator as to whether a career path is the right fit is how it feels once you get there. Many of us, however, may choose to dismiss those feelings or downplay their importance. This session will help you discover how Emotional Intelligence can play a key role in determining the right fit for you.
Dr. Christa Thompson is the Founder and CEO of Breakthrough Transitions, LLC which is focused primarily on one-on-one life strategist sessions. She also works with organizations on team building efforts and cohesion during transitional periods. With the foundation of her company on emotional intelligence, she understands the uncertainty that comes with transitions and believes enlightening clients to aspects of their emotional intelligence will enable them to see their own strengths and potential. Dr. Thompson has a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology, MBA in Marketing, and a Bachelor’s in Communication.
Cost per session is $20 for members and college students with a valid student ID and $30 for the general public. Members can purchase four tickets for the price of three at $60 (payment must be made in advance of first session).
Participants who attend every session in the series will be entered to win a pair of Southwest Airlines tickets! They are good to any destination Southwest flies and there are no blackout dates.
In addition, attendees are asked to bring a pair of new, adult women’s shoes which will be collected and donated to a local charity to assist women in getting “the right shoes” for their professional lives.
