The Tempe Chamber of Conference recently held their Diversity in Leadership Conference at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, emceed by Nicole Crites, Arizona’s Family Anchor. Over 200 of the Valley’s stakeholder business professionals were in attendance to exchange ideas, learn best practices and collaborate on creating initiatives that foster diversity and enhance leadership skills.

The Tempe Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has named Colin Diaz, IOM, ACE, as the new President & CEO following the retirement of Anne Gill.

Today, the Tempe Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee (MAC) officially opened the Merle Fister Veteran Scholarship application. This scholarship began in 2019 in honor of United States Air Force Veteran Merle Fister who donated funding to the Tempe Chamber’s MAC after his passing.

The council coordinates several programs throughout the year including the Mentorship Program, Leadership Speaker Series, and Leadership Conference. We also select a Business Woman of the Year and Charity of the Year annually. During the August 2021-22 kickoff meeting the council brainstormed theme ideas for the fiscal year. Vice Chair, Alison Stine suggested defining core values for the council.
